Tidy Planet to showcase the future of Energy-from-Waste to RWM 2021
Article posted on 19.08.2021
There’s not long to go until this year’s RWM exhibition on 22nd-23rd September, and we’re really excited to not only be exhibiting, but also presenting alongside our trusted partners, Sugimat and Turboden.
If you’re going to be at the event, you can find us in Hall 5 at stand Q222. And our MD, Simon Webb, will also be delivering two presentations on our scalable, decentralised Energy-from-Waste (EfW) solutions that meet the UK’s needs for energy recovery from RDF and SRF – more details on what the talks are about and when they take place can be found below.
Seminar 1: A spotlight on decentralised Energy-from-Waste
Wednesday 22nd Sep, 14:45-15:15, Waste-to-Energy Theatre
Overview:
With market, technical and return-on-investment (ROI) summaries, this presentation will provide many answers to the questions asked by the country’s waste collectors and processors. Turboden, Tidy Planet, and Sugimat will provide an overview of our scalable, decentralised EfW solutions that meet the UK’s needs for energy recovery from RDF and SRF. The presentation will include details of the 3t/hr SWIP EfW system as well as the largest 50MWth units.
Key takeaways:
- The benefits of a decentralised Energy-from-Waste solution
- The typical business cases for RDF and SRF, and their ROI
- Why smaller-scale, decentralised thermal oil boilers are the way forward for the UK’s RDF and SRF agenda.
Seminar 2: A virtual journey through turning RDF into a valuable energy resource
Thursday 23rd Sep, 14:45-15:15, Waste-to-Energy Theatre
Overview:
Following on from the earlier session, this presentation will take delegates on a virtual journey where RDF and SRF are used to produce EfW in an industry-leading thermal oil boiler and ORC generator – including how it’s combusted on a grate to produce heat and then electricity efficiently.
Join Tidy Planet, Turboden, and Sugimat as we provide an overview of our scalable, decentralised EfW solutions that meet the UK’s needs for energy recovery from RDF and SRF.
Key takeaways:
- A technical explanation of the end-to-end process of converting RDF and SRF into energy
- The benefits of thermal oil boilers in comparison with steam alternatives
- How the regulations for a Small Waste Incineration Plant (SWIP) differ from those for larger-scale solutions.

At our stand, we’re also providing 15-minute, face-to-face return-on-investment sessions – where we calculate this statistic for your business.
So if you’d like to book a slot, please drop us a message via hello@tidyplanet.co.uk.
In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more about who we are and the EfW technologies we bring to the UK market, take a minute to download our brochure.
Also, don’t worry if you can’t attend the RWM exhibition, you can always request a copy of our presentations from the day or get in touch with any EfW-related questions, by emailing hello@tidyplanet.co.uk or calling 01625 666798.
